The majority of our projects are called "Migration" or "Conversion" projects. Anyway, it are all very technical projects. They are "supporting projects" to application development. In many cases, we deal with rather older programs, sometimes no longer known by people in the IT department. They are happy these things continue to run. Until something comes up !! A great deal of our business in the the area of language to language conversion, application clean-up and source reformatting or make a technical documentation based on program sources, build data relationship and do impact analysis, assist in audits (internal or external) or even quality control. We advise our customers what to do to keep these applications "alive" by setting up rules on how maintenance should be done. We believe strongly that such a technical audit improves maintainability and that program structure and standards are a must in today's complex environments. We help our customers to set up such standards, i.e. programming standards, database standards etc if none are yet available. Building such a technical documentation makes your programs easier to read and easier to document. Or you simply convert them to a new modern platform. That is where MGL can help you.
